1. What we store
Cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) are small pieces of data stored by
your browser. We keep our use to the minimum needed to make the sites work:
| Name | Where | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
shop_verified_user | Web shop | First-party cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeps you securely signed in so your purchases reach the right account. Strictly
necessary. | Up to 24 hours |
nx-theme | Website | Local storage | Remembers your light/dark theme choice. Stored only on your device and never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
2. Why there is no cookie banner
Under the EU ePrivacy rules (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive), consent is needed before
storing or reading information on your device unless it is strictly necessary to provide a
service you asked for. The login cookie above is strictly necessary to sign you in, and the theme
value is a preference stored only on your device that we never read off your device. Both fall
within the “strictly necessary” exemption, so we do not need — and do not show — a cookie consent
banner. Our analytics (Umami) is cookieless and stores nothing on your device, so it also falls
outside that consent requirement. If we ever introduce technology that stores or reads
non-essential information on your device, we will ask for your consent first.
3. Analytics & advertising
We run no advertising, ad networks, ad SDKs, tracking pixels, or cross-site
tracking, and we do not sell or share your data. We do not use Google Analytics. For analytics we
use Umami — a privacy-friendly, self-hosted tool that measures aggregate usage
(such as page views and button clicks). Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing
on your device, which is why it does not appear in the table above. See the Privacy Policy for what the analytics measures and why.
4. Third-party requests
We self-host the fonts used on both the website and the web shop, so simply loading a page does
not send your IP address or any data to a third-party font CDN such as Google Fonts. More
generally, we avoid loading assets from third-party servers that could see your IP, keeping page
loads first-party. Third parties only receive data where it is necessary to provide a feature you
use — for example, your payment provider during checkout — as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Managing storage
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Because the
login cookie is strictly necessary, blocking it may stop the web shop from keeping you signed in.
